FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MONTREAL, May 14, 2026 — Matrox Video is pleased to announce the launch of the Matrox Convert IP Quad encoder, a 1U appliance for live ST 2110 and 12G-SDI production environments. The Convert IP Quad handles up to four channels of UHD-2160p60 with low-latency JPEG XS encoding at 200 Mbps per channel.

Designed for broadcasters migrating from SDI-only plants to IP cores, the Convert IP Quad supports ST 2110-20 video, ST 2110-30 audio, ST 2110-40 ancillary, and PTP synchronization per ST 2059. The unit ships with NMOS IS-04 and IS-05 control. Glass-to-glass latency, as measured by Matrox internal labs, is under 16ms.

"Broadcasters need a bridge between SDI islands and IP cores without losing picture quality or operational simplicity," said Caroline Inglis, Senior Product Manager at Matrox Video. "Convert IP Quad gives them one box, four channels, and a deployment path that does not require a forklift upgrade."
