(Los Angeles, California--April 7, 2014) Zylight, a leading manufacturer of innovative LED lighting solutions, is showcasing an improved F8 LED Fresnel at the 2014 NAB Show (Booth C5346), which runs through April 10 in Las Vegas, Nev. Introduced last year, the reengineered lighting instrument still delivers close to the light output of a traditional 1000-watt Fresnel and collapses to less than four inches thick for easy transport, but a number of refinements deliver improved performance for field and studio applications.
The yoke mount has been angled for greater positioning range and able to accommodate 90-degree stand mounting. Plus, all locking and adjustment is done with a single knob. On the light, the self-locking focus now automatically holds focus position. Other improvements include improved bellow design for smoother operation, a self-terminating DMX input, better protection from the elements and a new heat sink orientation that allows 20 percent better cooling.
