Warner Brothers and Turner Broadcasting have recently announced a new streaming service called Boomerang that will show animated features all day every day. They have pegged the monthly subscription price at just $5 a month and the content will feature all of the classic animation from MGM, Looney Tunes and Hanna-Barbera.
Subscribers will be treated to such legendary animation as
Bugs Bunny, The Flintstones, Tom & Jerry, Scooby Do and
The Jetsons. The library will feature over 5,000 titles and the streaming service is expected to launch some time in the early Spring of 2017. Both Warner Brothers and Turner are owed by Time-Warner and the service will be developing all new episodes for such classic favorites as
Tom & Jerry, Scooby Do and the Looney Tunes stable of characters. The entire service will be a further extension of the Turner's current Boomerang Network that was originally launched back in 2000.

Christina Miller, president of the Boomerang Network and The Cartoon Network, stated that,
"Boomerang is a beloved brand that has always had multi-generational appeal and some of the greatest animated shows ever created. Our ongoing partnership with Warner Bros. around this new premium service continues our strategy of making sure our fans are engaged with fresh and fun content whenever and wherever they want it."

When the new Boomerang streaming service first launches it will be available on Android and iOS devices as well as being offered online. As the launch gets closer, the company expects to almost immediately expand the available platforms on which viewers may enjoy the new streaming service.
The president of Warner Brothers, Craig Hunegs, said that,
"We are bringing the best new and classic characters to kids, families and animation fans so they can now watch their favorite anywhere, anytime on any screen. It's a whole new way to access Warner Bros.' storied legacy of laughs."Β
