We are delighted to announce the launch of the inaugural Unmanned Air Systems Technology & Innovation Awards to be hosted in conjunction with SkyTech 2016. With the unmanned aviation industry developing at such a great pace the awards have been established to recognise innovation, excellence and growth across the industry. The awards are open to all organisations involved in the unmanned aviation industry, with entries welcomed from across the globe. The awards will honour those organisations which have pushed at the boundaries of unmanned aviation, serving as an endorsement of determination, hard work and a celebration of success. The awards are now open for submissions, with the final closing date for entries set as the 20th December 2015. Entries will be analysed by a select panel of judges. Winners will be announced during a ceremony hosted at SkyTech 2016 on 27th January. This year’s awards will select four winners:
  • Start-up of the Year 2016
  • The Innovation Award 2016
  • Service Solution of the Year 2016
  • The Award for Business Growth 2016

Are you in the early stages of development but have amazing potential? We are searching for the rising stars of the unmanned aviation industry. Entrants for this award should be businesses established since March 2014. The Innovation Award 2016 Do you have an innovative new product offering? Have you developed a new UAV platform, component, software program, power source, sensor or camera? Perhaps it’s safer, smaller, faster, lighter, works better than anything we’ve seen before? Innovation lies at the heart of the UAS industry and this award is designed to celebrate exactly that. Entries for this award are welcomed from all involved in the unmanned aviation industry including academia. Service Solution of the Year 2016 Do you offer a ground-breaking industry service? Are you using an exciting new approach? Maybe you’ve developed the latest and greatest service for agriculture, construction or training? We are looking for the businesses that are providing stand-out service solutions across the unmanned aviation industry. Entries for this award are welcomed from all involved in the industry. The Award for Business Growth 2016 Has your business undergone substantial growth in the last year? Have you built a powerful brand and enhanced your market position? Maybe you’ve expanded your distribution networks, products, markets or services? This is the award for the unmanned aviation industry’s fastest growing businesses.
