TVU Networks to Provide IP Video Transmission and Distribution Technology
The high-profile Excellence in Journalism conference is set to conduct its first-ever live stream of the Paul White and John F. Hogan Awards ceremony, held on September 19th in Orlando. The event will feature awards honoring notable journalists such as Leslie Stahl and Pierre Thomas.
TVU Networks will provide the IP video transmission and distribution technology for the live stream, using its TVUPack 8200 mobile uplink backpack transmitter to stream the ceremony exclusively to the RTDNA's Ustream channel in real-time. The video will also be available for on-demand viewing on RTDNA's website.
TVU Networks to Showcase Live IP Video Solutions
As part of its third year exhibiting at the Excellence in Journalism conference, TVU Networks will showcase a range of its live IP video solutions, including TVU One - a live, mobile IP news gathering HD video transmitter. TVU One is based on the same transmission resiliency, performance and sub-second latency as a full-size TVUPack backpack transmitter, but in a substantially smaller, lightweight and ultra-compact form factor.
Another booth highlight will be the award-winning TVUPack, a portable backpack style IP newsgathering solution that enables broadcasters to capture and broadcast live HD video of interviews and events over multiple cellular, satellite, microwave, WiFi, WiMax, and BGAN connections. The TM8200 is also available with optional integrated MIMO Microwave for challenging cellular bandwidth environments.
The TVUPack TM8200 will be demonstrated at the conference, along with TVU Anywhere, which enables broadcasters to instantly capture and transmit footage from anywhere on their small mobile device or laptop.
