The National Hockey League (NHL) has announced the implementation of a cutting-edge wireless goal post camera solution for its Stanley Cup Playoffs. The innovative system, developed in collaboration with Timecode Systems, GoPro, and Vislink, enables the capture of unique camera angles and enhances live game coverage.

Wireless Camera Solution

The HEROCast Plus embedded timecode solution provides NHL with a reliable means to share high-quality video feeds wirelessly from each goal post. The system consists of Timecode Buddy mini trx ultra compact timecode and genlock generators, GoPro cameras, and Vislink wireless video transport.

Each goal post is equipped with a stripped-down GoPro camera and a Timecode Buddy mini rx unit in RX mode. The cameras are synchronized using Timecode Systems' products, which provide accurate timecode and genlock generation over the long-range 915-MHz data link.
