Studio Technologies has improved its ST 2110 integration by adopting Merging Technologies' ZMAN module. This change aims to enhance the company's performance and reliability in networked media environments.
New Partnership with Merging Technologies
Gordon Kapes, president of Studio Technologies, explained that while their previous IP technology provider met initial expectations, it did not evolve sufficiently for modern needs. The shift towards advanced IP-based workflows necessitated a more reliable partner. Merging Technologies' extensive experience in ST 2110 applications made them an ideal choice.
ZMAN Module Integration
The ZMAN module seamlessly integrated into Studio Technologies' existing board designs, originally developed for Dante support, without requiring significant rework. The module is now a core component of products like the Model 5682 ST 2110 to Dante Bridge, the Model 5512A Audio Interface, and the Model 5518A Mic/Line Interface.
Performance and Collaboration
Kapes noted that the performance and compatibility improvements with Merging's technology are substantial. The partnership has also benefited from regular firmware updates and collaborative problem-solving between the two engineering teams. Merging Technologies quickly addressed issues related to hardware support, demonstrating a commitment to customer satisfaction.
