DDM-Ready: Studio Technologies' Dante Products Get Network Management Boost
The latest update from Studio Technologies ensures that all its Dante-enabled products are now compliant with Audinate's upcoming Dante Domain Manager (DDM) network management software. This move enables seamless integration of the company's products within applications utilizing DDM, allowing for enhanced control and functionality over any network topology.
As a result, users can now leverage the full extent of Dante's capabilities in a responsible manner, thanks to the powerful set of features offered by DDM. The server-based application applies IT best practices to audio networking projects, ensuring a secure Dante network with robust user authentication and role assignment.
Secure Networking for AV Systems
The security features of DDM include active directory and LDAP support, four levels of built-in user roles, and complete control on a per-domain basis. This enables the creation of truly enterprise-scaled AV systems that can be deployed across a WAN, route Dante transparently across subnets, organize devices by domain regardless of network topology, and eliminate the need for single subnet VLANs or workarounds.
Studio Technologies' President Gordon Kapes notes that ensuring DDM-readiness was a priority to provide customers with the latest networking capabilities.
