Riedel Communications has acquired hi human interface, a browser-based control solution developed by Broadcast Solutions. The acquisition brings a flexible management tool to Riedel's lineup of broadcast, event, and production technologies.

hi Human Interface Overview

Introduced in 2018, hi offers an intuitive interface for operators to manage various devices including routers, multiviewers, mixers, and third-party SDN controllers. Its automatic device discovery and zero-configuration setup make it easy to scale from a single laptop to large enterprise systems.

Partnership and Integration

The acquisition marks the end of a successful partnership between Riedel and Broadcast Solutions. Stefan Breder, CEO of Broadcast Solutions Group, stated that hi will benefit from Riedel's global reach and resources. Thomas Riedel, Founder and CEO of Riedel, expressed excitement about integrating hi with existing products like MediorNet and SmartPanels.

The system has been integrated into high-profile projects such as WDR’s remote production for UEFA Euro 2024, showcasing its compatibility with Riedel's solutions. Further integrations across the Riedel portfolio are in progress.
