NBA 2K League Taps PVP3 for Multi-Screen Studio Experience

Atlanta-based experiential design studio MEPTIK has chosen Renewed Vision's PVP3 media server and screen control system to power the dynamic, multi-screen experience for live NBA 2K League games on Twitch.

The PVP3 system delivers high-resolution video content across multiple channels, presenting a seamless visual experience for fans watching online. The unique setup features a large round console with five players on each side, surrounded by massive LED video walls and LCD displays showing live camera head shots of each player.

PVP3's Power and Flexibility

According to MEPTIK Co-founder Nick Rivero, PVP3 was chosen for its ability to output a high volume of high-resolution content, with the flexibility to creatively compose display layouts on the fly. The system's user-friendly interface allowed MEPTIK to set up a full turnkey system and then train users to operate it without technical support.

PVP3's native integration with HD-SDI infrastructure and workflow ensured seamless interoperability with Ross production switchers, high-end Sony cameras, live graphics systems, and house routers. The system ingests four live video feeds, mixing and mapping them with pre-rendered content to output 12 channels of video.

Workflow Advantages

PVP3's advantages include its ability to power the operation on an Apple iMac Pro connected to two Sonnet SE Thunderbolt 3 chasses and outfitted with five Blackmagic Duo 2 cards. An Elgato Streamdeck triggers cues within PVP3, allowing for seamless scenic changes.
