Orbit Showtime Network (OSN), a prominent entertainment provider in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, has partnered with Harmonic to implement targeted advertising on its video streams. OSN will use Harmonic's VOS360 Ad SaaS solution to deliver personalized ads, marking a significant step in the network's monetization strategy.

Enhanced Monetization Strategy

Melvin Saldanha, senior vice president of technology at OSN, emphasized the importance of this collaboration. “Introducing targeted ad insertion across our video streaming channels is a transformative milestone for us,” he said. “Harmonic's expertise in server-side ad insertion and their robust partner ecosystem enabled us to deploy the solution quickly and effectively.”

Seamless Integration and Advanced Features

VOS360 Ad SaaS is a cloud-native, standalone server-side ad insertion (SSAI) solution that provides OSN with tools for creative processing, delivery, and manifest manipulation. The platform offers frame-accurate insertion to maximize monetization opportunities.

The solution includes advanced features such as a sophisticated placement opportunity information service and scheduler. These capabilities allow OSN to incorporate ad duration on insertion markers, essential for effective ad signaling and revenue generation.
