Orange Polska is improving its video services by deploying Viaccess-Orca's Secure Video Player on Sagemcom high-end set-top boxes. This integration allows subscribers to smoothly switch between live TV, time-shifted programming, catch-up content, and video-on-demand (VOD) without interruption.

Seamless Multiscreen Experience

The Secure Video Player is embedded within the Orange Polska application rather than being part of the set-top box middleware. This setup gives Orange Polska greater control over its content offerings and simplifies future service updates. The player supports multiple digital rights management (DRM) systems, including VO DRM, to protect against unauthorized access and piracy.

Enhanced Viewer Engagement

Piotr Wit, Director of Home Network at Orange Polska, emphasized the importance of a high-quality multiscreen video player: “We needed a state-of-the-art solution to keep our viewers engaged. VO’s Secure Video Player is a game changer, providing a unified experience across all devices.”

The player monitors and ensures consistent quality of service and user behavior, aligning with content owners' security requirements. This capability enhances overall satisfaction by ensuring a seamless transition between IPTV and OTT services.
