NVerzion, a leading provider of digital broadcasting tools, has launched a new product designed to optimize broadcast programming delays. The NDelay system offers flexible time-delay capabilities for SD or HD content, ensuring seamless adjustments in live broadcasts.

Reed Haslam, director of sales and marketing at NVerzion, explained that the tool is crucial for maintaining viewer satisfaction by allowing broadcasters to adjust their programs dynamically. 'Our new NDelay tool provides a flexible, cost-effective solution for addressing variable programming delays,' he said. 'It maximizes operational efficiencies while ensuring a superior quality of experience for viewers.'

The NDelay system supports both fixed and manual delayed playout options for SD or HD content. Through its user-friendly graphical interface, operators can set precise delay times down to single frames. Uncompressed content is stored via RAM, allowing delays as short as a single frame up to four minutes. For longer delays, SSD drives are used, supporting up to 24 hours.

NDelay can also handle MPEG-encoded content, with delays ranging from 15 seconds up to one week. The system features a robust 2-RU rack-mount PC and supports both NTSC and PAL television standards. It is ideal for the broadcast, education, government, and corporate markets and can be integrated into existing workflows to increase efficiencies.
