Film Restoration Workflow Employs Cintel Scanner
Multicom Entertainment Group, an independent distribution company, has developed a comprehensive film restoration workflow using the Cintel Scanner from Blackmagic Design. The company's extensive library of over 1,500 titles includes more than 200 films on film, making in-house post-production processing a cost-effective and efficient solution.
According to Executive Director Andrew Baritz, building an in-house post-production workflow allows for greater control and flexibility in managing the restoration process. The Cintel Scanner has been instrumental in this effort, enabling the capture of high-quality scans from various film formats, including 35mm and 16mm.

The Multicom Entertainment Group team uses the Cintel Scanner with a Cintel Audio and KeyKode Reader to scan films, which are then processed using DaVinci Resolve Studio. The company's workflow also incorporates an UltraStudio 4K, Teranex 2D Processor, and multiple DeckLink capture cards.
