Mobius Labs will demonstrate its latest AI-powered metadata solution, Visual DNA, along with a suite of audio tools at NAB 2023. The company's technology can be deployed on-premises or in the cloud, offering efficient and customizable options for managing media assets.

Visual DNA streamlines video ingest, tagging, search, and archiving processes. By creating an ultra-compact description of video frames—around 1,500 times smaller than the original content—the system significantly reduces processing costs. Users can re-index one hour of content in under 10 seconds, ensuring metadata remains up to date without additional ingest.

New Audio Tools Enhance Content Management

In addition to Visual DNA, Mobius Labs will showcase new audio tools with advanced speech-to-text capabilities and English translation for more than 30 languages. These features eliminate the need for separate natural language processing modules, further improving asset management workflows.

Jeremy Deaner, COO of Mobius Labs, emphasized the importance of leveraging content libraries: “It’s never been more important for media organizations to harness the valuable potential of their content libraries. Visual DNA provides a flexible and customizable AI metadata solution that enhances asset management.”

Efficiency and Accuracy in Content Organization

The system's ability to recognize detailed tags, faces, expressions, and generate transcripts from audio tracks at lightning speed makes it a valuable tool for content owners. Appu Shaji, CEO and Chief Scientist of Mobius Labs, highlighted the technology's efficiency: “Visual DNA can analyze an hour of video content and generate new metadata in less than 10 seconds with just 30MB of storage.”

Automating content ingest workflows is crucial for organizations to efficiently manage their media. However, without AI-based intelligent tagging systems, valuable content can be difficult to track and monetize. Deaner added: “Having a comprehensive metadata tagging strategy ensures that valuable content remains accessible.”
