The renowned 'My RØDE Reel' short film competition is back for its fifth year, with Miller Tripods Ltd. stepping up as a lead sponsor this time around. The competition has garnered over 12,000 video submissions from 90 countries since its inception in 2014, cementing its status as the world's premier short film contest.
Miller Tripods will supply equipment for the Art Direction Categories, including their CX2 Fluid Head and CX2 Solo 75 2 Stage Alloy. The competition offers a substantial prize pool of $1 million in 2018 and features 30 categories for both short films and behind-the-scenes reels.
Participants are encouraged to create original content that showcases the use of RØDE products. The contest includes major awards like the Judges' Film Award, People's Choice Award, Female Filmmaker Award, Young Filmmaker Award, and educational and entertaining behind-the-scenes film categories.
