MediaKind has introduced enhancements to its MK Engage platform, a comprehensive streaming technology service designed for video production, streaming, and audience engagement. The updated solution now includes synchronized video playback, enabling more precise timing across devices and platforms.
New Features Enhance User Experience
The enhanced video synchronization feature allows live content providers to align the video player frame with frontend elements in real time. This improvement enables new use cases such as highlighting specific players or events during sports broadcasts, ensuring that venues like betting shops, bars, and stadiums experience the same moment simultaneously.
Improved Monetization Options
MK Engage has also been updated with more flexible monetization functionalities. These enhancements allow media companies to create free, ad-supported TV channels accessible without signing in, as well as segment and monetize individual streams from live events. This capability can target specific parts of a broadcast, such as the final quarter of a basketball game or a penalty shootout in soccer.
Boris Felts, Chief Product Officer at MediaKind, stated, “Our goal with MK Engage is to provide a premium video streaming engine that lets live content providers focus on their core mission: designing a great experience and serving great content to delight their audience.”
Streamlined Workflows
The new enhancements simplify workflows for recording, packaging, and delivering live content to video-on-demand platforms. MediaKind’s CMS manages these processes, making it easier for companies to monetize both live and on-demand content.
Felts added, “By taking on the technical, operational, and scaling challenges behind complex live streaming workflows, we’re empowering the industry to better monetize their live content while ensuring the best possible streaming experiences for end-users.”
