Maryland Public Television Upgrades Broadcast Infrastructure

Maryland Public Television (MPT) has upgraded its broadcast infrastructure with the deployment of Utah-400 Series 2 hybrid routers. The PBS affiliate serves viewers throughout Maryland, as well as parts of neighboring states.

The new router replaces two legacy systems, each over 17 years old, and provides a single platform for all types of signals, including those used in IP networks. This hybrid architecture allows MPT to gradually transition from SDI to IP-based operations without requiring a major upgrade.
