Design and animation studio Laundry recently created “Being Scared,” an original animated short film for the Imaginary Friend Society, which is dedicated to teaching young cancer patients about treatment in a way that’s easy to understand. “Being Scared” is part of a series of 20 animated films commissioned by the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation in partnership with ad agency RPA. In the film, an imaginary friend named Pico de Gallo teaches kids that it’s okay to be scared, especially when you’re facing something unfamiliar. “You just have to remember that you’re stronger than you think,” he says. For us, watching Pico de Gallo come to life through the animation was creatively rewarding -- and we’re extremely honored that we were asked to be a part of such a worthy and inspirational initiative.”   Client: Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation Ad Agency: RPA   Design & Animation Company: Laundry Directors: Anthony Liu & PJ Richardson Managing Director: James Sweigert Executive Producer: Garrett Braren Associate Producer: Dean Marchand Production Coordinator: Caroline Mortimer Designers: Nicole Choi, Min Shi, Yoojin Seol, Kun Xia & Jinzhi Du Animation, Rigging & Lighting: Jinzhi Du, Alan Ng, Kun Xia, Patrick Moss & Anthony Lam Editor: Justin Freedman   Music Company: Butter Sound Design Company: Lime Studios   About Laundry: Artists.
