Amarin TV 34HD has implemented a new HD playout system from Imagine Communications at its headquarters in Bangkok. The upgrade includes the ADC automation and Nexio+ AMP media server, improving operational efficiency while integrating seamlessly with Amarin TV's current infrastructure.
Integration and Efficiency
The broadcaster's original playout system became outdated, prompting a search for a solution that could meet both present and future needs. Imagine Communications offered an end-to-end software-based system compatible with Amarin TV’s SDI-based setup. This integration allows for swift and secure file transfers, prioritized based on business rules.
Seamless Workflow
Cheewapat Nathalang, CTO of Amarin TV, highlighted the importance of developing workflows that align with current operations while laying a foundation for future advancements. The ADC software integrates tightly with Nexio+ AMP channel playout servers and Nexio Motion asset management software, creating a dynamic link to existing shared storage.
Local Expertise
The project was developed in collaboration with SWS Group Company Limited, a local systems integrator. Pairoj Kittikulpaisal, GM of SWS Group, expressed confidence in Imagine Communications' products and support, which facilitated the installation process.
Redundancy and Reliability
The new system operates in a 1+1 configuration to ensure redundancy. ADC manages the master control switcher for graphics insertion and the Platinum VX SDI router for live feeds, enhancing reliability. Mathias Eckert, SVP & GM EMEA and APAC for Imagine Communications, noted that the solution fits well within Thailand's media landscape, focusing on resilient playout infrastructure.
