GatesAir, a leading provider of broadcasting solutions, has unveiled its next-generation software-defined exciter for TV and DAB Radio broadcasters. The new Maxiva XTE exciter is designed to provide unparalleled signal processing power, a smaller footprint, and advanced IP capabilities.
The XTE exciter builds on the success of GatesAir's previous-generation Maxiva M2X exciter, offering improved signal correction, modulation error ratio (MER), and addressing other signal imperfections in over-the-air broadcasts. The new exciter also features a 300% increase in digital signal processing capability, as well as a 1 GHz quad-core CPU with 20 times the horsepower.
Software-Defined Design
The XTE exciter is designed to be a software-defined platform, providing a field-upgradeable design that allows broadcasters to quickly and seamlessly upgrade as standards evolve. This ensures that broadcasters can stay ahead of the curve and take advantage of emerging broadcast opportunities.
