SCETV Taps GatesAir for UHF Repack Efforts
The South Carolina Educational Television Commission (SCETV), the state's PBS and NPR broadcaster, has selected GatesAir's Maxiva liquid-cooled transmitters to support its state-wide repack initiatives.
In a move aimed at strengthening energy efficiency, reducing maintenance costs, and lowering operating expenses network-wide, SCETV will utilize GatesAir's UHF transmitters across nine stations. The commission was granted a fully maximized high-power VHF channel assignment through the FCC for WNTV-DT in Greenville, with GatesAir set to provide a VHF solution.
