Broadcast engineering company GatesAir has bolstered its Global Services team with two new hires ahead of NAB Show 2026. Scott Vince and Chris Abbott will join as Service Support Engineers, focusing on supporting customers using the newly launched AirWatch365 service.

Enhanced Support for Broadcaster Needs

The additions reflect GatesAir’s commitment to enhancing its support capabilities for broadcasters worldwide, encompassing traditional RF systems, IP-based infrastructure, and emerging managed services like AirWatch365. This new offering will debut as a global service at the company's booth C1046 during NAB Show 2026.

Scott Vince Brings Extensive Experience

Vince, who recently worked as an RF Transmitter Engineer with Hearst Television, brings significant experience in maintaining high-power transmitters, microwave systems, and IP-based networks across multiple states. His background includes hands-on troubleshooting, network configuration, FCC compliance, and system modernization initiatives.

Chris Abbott Joins with Leadership Expertise

Abbott, a Senior Broadcast Engineer from Vertical Bridge and former Director of NOC and Tier 2 Support at iHeartMedia, has led large-scale monitoring environments and managed 24/7 support operations. His expertise includes implementing automated monitoring systems, managing high-volume incident response, and overseeing engineering teams responsible for critical broadcast infrastructure.

Brent Whelan, Vice President of Global Services at GatesAir, highlighted the complementary skill sets of the new hires. "We are excited to welcome Scott and Chris to our team," he said.
