GatesAir showcases advanced radio transmission solutions at IBC2023, expanding its Flexiva GX FM line with lower-power models and debuting the second generation of Maxiva's MultiD Series for efficient DAB networks.
New Low-Power FM Models
The company extends its Flexiva GX transmitter series to include 50 W, 1 kW, and a new 3.5 kW model, catering to low-to-medium power levels. These additions leverage LDMOS technology for high efficiency and compact design, offering up to 76 percent overall efficiency.
Flexiva GX transmitters support N+1 configurations, enhancing flexibility and uptime for national network operators. Additional features include GPS receivers for SFN support and the Intraplex IP Link 100e module, which integrates direct FM content receipt within the transmitter to save rack space.
DAB Radio Networks
GatesAir unveils the second generation of its Maxiva MultiD Series at IBC, designed for high-efficiency DAB broadcasting. The new system supports four independent DAB/DAB+ channels in a single 1RU chassis, reducing costs and infrastructure.
The updated MultiD system offers greater flexibility by enabling broadcasters to assign unique power levels to each of the four services. This configuration is particularly useful in shared environments like road tunnels, where consistent coverage can be maintained across different broadcasts.
