Colour Experts Converge at IBC2018

FilmLight is set to stage one of its highly popular colour tour masterclasses at IBC2018, bringing together leading colourists from around the world to share their knowledge and showcase real-world projects.

The intensive day-long event, taking place on September 16th, will guide attendees through the opportunities and challenges presented by HDR and new delivery formats. The masterclass will feature demonstrations of FilmLight's Baselight v5 colour grading system, as well as practical discussions and live presentations.

Expert Insights

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from some of the industry's top colourists, including Maxine Gervais of Technicolor, Sylvain Canaux of St Louis, and Mike Nuget of New York-based freelance colourist. Each will share their individual journeys in colour, highlighting creative hints and tips honed over successful careers.

Recent world-class projects will be used to illustrate how these colourists have addressed the challenges of moving between colour spaces, showcasing the latest grading tools in action and practical workflows from on-set to finishing.

A Global Tour

The IBC event is part of a global tour that has already visited Beijing, Hollywood, London, Miami, Mumbai, Seoul, Tokyo, and Toronto. The masterclass is free to pre-registered participants, with limited space available.

FilmLight will also be demonstrating its full range of colour management technology and collaborative, render-free, end-to-end workflows at IBC2018 on stand 7.B26.
