Imagine Communications has unveiled an updated version of its Selenio™ Network Processor (SNP) that now supports intoPIX’s TicoXS FPGA IP cores. This integration aims to provide high-quality, low-latency connectivity for remote production and ground-to-cloud links.

Enhanced Connectivity with JPEG XS

The new release of the Selenio Network Processor incorporates intoPIX's JPEG XS technology, which boosts bandwidth efficiency across IP networks. This enhancement ensures superior video quality while minimizing latency, making it ideal for remote production and cloud-based workflows.

Industry Standards Compliance

Imagine Communications played a significant role in the development of VSF TR-07 & TR-08 recommendations for JPEG XS use in SMPTE ST 2110 workflows. The company also contributed to the creation of the SMPTE 2110 standard itself.

Flexible and Versatile Solution

The SNP platform supports both traditional and cloud-based workflows, enabling customers to process, convert, manage, and encode/decode content in SDI or ST 2110 formats. The addition of JPEG XS technology allows for ultra-low-latency connections between sites or ground and cloud resources.
