EditShare highlights its latest advancements in cloud and hybrid workflows with the launch of a new suite of FLEX software solutions. The company will demonstrate these innovations at Broadcast Asia, focusing on flexible working environments and improved content management.
FLEX Software Suite Enhances Remote Workflows
The FLEX software suite is designed to facilitate remote production by enabling access to media assets from anywhere. This shift aligns with the growing trend of a “work anywhere” model, making it easier for creative teams to collaborate regardless of location.
Said Bacho, Chief Revenue Officer at EditShare, expressed enthusiasm about demonstrating FLEX at Broadcast Asia: “We’re excited to show how FLEX can simplify workflows and offer significant benefits to our customers.”
Improved Project Synchronization
The software enhancements include improved project synchronization with leading Non-Linear Editors (NLEs) such as Media Composer, Adobe Premiere Pro, and DaVinci Resolve. This allows users to seamlessly transfer complex projects between EditShare FLOW media management and NLE environments.
Additionally, FLOW now supports the latest RAW format updates for RED and Blackmagic Design cameras, enabling real-time LUT application on both full-resolution and proxy materials. The system can also ingest NewTek NDI contribution feeds, streamlining fast-turnaround editing processes ideal for news and sports content.
New Hardware Enhances Security and Storage
To bolster security and availability, EditShare introduces the EFS 60NL, a nearline storage device offering 60 drive bays in just 4U of rack space. This solution is ideal for storing content that requires quick access but is not currently under active editing.
Another enhancement is EFS Multi-Site, which allows synchronization between EditShare clusters across different locations using built-in file acceleration. Cloud Sync extends this capability to cloud storage, offering greater flexibility and security in archiving projects.
