EBS, the leading full-service provider of EPG data for platforms and channels worldwide, has announced its partnership with Swedish content promotion provider Popyoular. The partnership will see EBS offering editorial review data from the Popyoular content promotion platform as part of its portfolio of services for platform operators.
EBS will aggregate, enhance and deliver high-quality programme metadata, for both linear and non-linear content, alongside curated recommendations and review scores from recognised and trusted sources. EBS and Popyoular will be discussing the new possibilities this partnership offers at IBC 2015 on stand 14.B01.
The Popyoular platform accumulates structures and stores recommendations from hundreds of thousands of trusted editorial reviews, which can automatically be connected to relevant movies and TV Series via Pawa. Using content discovery features from Popyoular, Pawa enables users to easily find relevant content using categories such as top-rated lists, award-winning movies, TV-series and more.
Keith Bedford, EBS Managing Director says, “Popyoular is an innovative addition to our TV data portfolio. We are delighted to make this announcement and look forward to exploring it further at IBC 2015.”
“The partnership between EBS and Popyoular is a natural fit. The combination of the Pawa platform and Popyoular data makes it possible for our joint customers to create state-of-the-art viewer experiences for EPGs and on-demand services”, adds Johnny Cederlund, Head of Business at Popyoular AB.
