Next-Generation Mobile Journalism Audio Solution

DPA Microphones is set to unveil its latest innovations in mobile journalism audio solutions at the upcoming TAB 2018 convention. The company will be highlighting its MMA-A Digital Audio Interface and CORE by DPA amplifier technology, designed to deliver high-quality audio in a compact and portable form factor.

The MMA-A Digital Audio Interface is an ultra-compact, two-channel microphone preamp and A/D converter that can fit in the user's pocket. It offers mono, dual, and stereo capabilities, making it ideal for live and mobile journalism applications. The device works seamlessly with any iOS device, Mac or PC computer, and exclusive DPA app to store setting presets, broadcast or record crystal-clear sound ranging from a two-channel interview situation to recording ambiance sound in stereo with minimal setup.

Amplifier Technology Boosts Audio Quality

The CORE by DPA amplifier technology powers DPA's line of d:vote 4099 Instrument, d:screet 4060 series, and d:fine headset series microphones. This innovation lowers overall distortion and expands the dynamic range, resulting in an even clearer sound. The dynamic range has been increased by up to 14 dB in all CORE by DPA capsules, with the d:vote CORE 4099 achieving a dynamic range of 108 dB for Loud SPL and 109 dB for Extreme SPL.

  • The omnidirectional microphones with CORE by DPA technology have achieved an IP58 waterproof rating, providing water and moisture resistance through hydrophobic nano coating of the capsule and hermetic sealing of the sensitive electronics.
