CoreMelt Chromatic for FCPX Delivers Complete, Flexible, Professional Color Correction for Editors; Integrates Academy Award-Winning mocha Tracking Technology for Mask Tracking
Sydney, Australia (April 9, 2018) – CoreMelt (www.coremelt.com) today announced it will be showcasing powerful new color grading tools for Final Cut Pro X editors at NAB 2018 in Las Vegas this week. With this announcement, CoreMelt has added a number of new features to its professional-calibre color grading plug-in for Final Cut Pro X editors, Chromatic.
As key presenter at the LumaForge “Faster Together” event in booth #S112LMR in the South Hall of the LVCC, CoreMelt will also demonstrate new products and technologies optimized for Final Cut Pro editors.
Stemming from its long-standing partnership with Imagineer Systems, CoreMelt Chromatic for FCPX is also powered by mocha, the Academy Award-winning Planar Tracking technology that precisely tracks camera motion, objects and people for seamless visual effects and screen composites. This built-in capability to Chromatic saves colorists significant time and tedium when tracking masks in clips and sequences. No other color correction plug-in on the market offers this capability.
During NAB 2018, CoreMelt will showcase a number of new features in Chromatic that extend the utility of FCPX for editors and colorists working complex sequences in which accurate, fast, easy-to-use and intelligent color correction is required, including powerful color keying, full RGB and HSL curves, and three way color wheels. Additional new features in Chromatic debuting at NAB include:
- Improved Hotkeys for fast keyboard navigation through the robust feature set;
- An Adjustment Stack Gallery for stacked presets enables users to see previous grading presets made in context on a current frame plus see how to export grades as CUBE files;
- Ability to compare buffers for shot-to-shot grading;
- Support for Auto Balance using the XRite Color Checker Passport Video, enabling users to change looks on entire scenes using grade groups;
- Supports working in rec2020 Wide Gamut Color Space;
