Leading post-production facility Clear Cut Pictures has expanded its use of EditShare’s EFS-450 storage across its central London facilities. The company relies on the storage system to streamline its operations and manage diverse projects efficiently.

Clear Cut Pictures Chooses Unified Storage Solution

Clear Cut Pictures, known for handling a wide range of factual television productions, has been using EditShare’s EFS-450 storage since 2019. The company recently upgraded from 1.2 petabytes to accommodate growing data demands and improve workflow consistency.

Jess Nottage, Group Operations and Technical Director at Clear Cut Pictures, explained the decision: “We needed a solution that could consolidate our shared storage across different areas of the business. EditShare’s EFS-450 not only provided the necessary storage but also unified our operations.”

Enhanced Resilience with Dual Metadata Controllers

The recent expansion includes dual metadata controllers, ensuring high availability and resilience. This setup allows the system to continue operating seamlessly even if a metadata controller or storage node fails.

Nottage added, “Their responsiveness and willingness to collaborate have made a significant difference in how we operate today.”

Installation by Jigsaw 24 Media
