a12 China's richest man, Wang Jianlin, announced recently, at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland, that his entertainment powerhouse would continue to heavily invest in American entertainment. Wang said that his company, Dalian Wanda Group, would continue to buy Hollywood properties and that they are currently working with an investment budget that could top out at around $10 billion. Despite cool trade relations between the United States of America and China, Wang declared that it would not stop his American entertainment investments. Wang, 62, who originally made his fortune in Chinese commercial real estate, currently owns several five star hotels as well as the second largest movie theater chain in the North America and is considered to be the world's largest theater owner as his company already owns Odeon and Carmike as well as England's largest chain.  This past November, Dalain Wanda bought Dick Clark Productions for a cool $1 billion. Dick Clark Productions is responsible for staging both the Miss America Pageant and the Golden Globe Awards. In addition, Wang owns Legendary Entertainment which is responsible for producing such blockbusters as the recent Jurassic World. Wang's personal worth is in the neighborhood of $40.7 billion. Wang looks to buy at least one additional Hollywood movie studio. It would be the company's second studio. Despite some backlash from the United State Congress, and already rather cool relations between the two superpowers, Wang expects to move forward and make the acquisitions he is looking to make with his $10 billion bankroll.
