## Canon Lenses Shine in NBC Sports' Super Bowl LX Coverage
MELVILLE, N.Y. - In a testament to its enduring partnership with NBC Sports, Canon Professional Services (CPS) supplied more than 98% of the broadcast lenses used during the production of Super Bowl LX.
The event marked the 30th consecutive year that CPS has provided on-the-ground support at the Super Bowl. The company's gear played a key role in capturing the high-energy action from Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
As part of its extensive lens lineup, Canon supplied 47 broadcast lenses for NBC Sports' pre- and post-game studio activations throughout the Santa Clara metro area. Additionally, 11 lenses were used throughout the concourse and on-field studio sets.
Among the notable lenses utilized was the CINE-SERVO 11-55mm T2.95-3.95 lens, which features an ultra-wide angle of 100 degrees. This versatile tool allowed NBC Sports' crews to capture stunning wide shots from unique vantage points.
Terrell Lloyd, Canon Explorer of Light and San Francisco 49ers director of photography, praised the performance of Canon's RF7-14mm F2.8-3.5 L Fisheye STM and RF14mm F1.4 L VCM prime lens combination during his coverage of the event.
"Testing Canon's new glass at the Big Game was the perfect opportunity to see how these lenses could handle the massive scale of the stadium," Lloyd said. "My goal was to capture wide, high-intensity shots from a top-down perspective, and the synergy between these lenses and the EOS R1 camera delivered exactly that. The sharpness and dynamic range allowed me to bring my home stadium into the global spotlight with more clarity than ever, once again pushing the boundaries of what I can create in a fast-paced, in-game environment."
