New Production Workflow for Live Programming
A innovative solution is bringing the popular talk radio format to television, using a combination of broadcast switchers and video conferencing technology. The Video Call Center (VCC) system uses Broadcast Pix's production switchers and file-based macros to create a video-driven version of talk radio, featuring multiple Web-based video callers.
The VCC system was developed by inventor Tom Wolzien, who has received a patent for the technology. Wolzien, a 45-year television veteran, serves as a consultant for large media organizations and is the lead independent director for TiVo, Inc.
