Brazilian production company Fabrika has implemented EditShare's FLOW asset management system to support its expansion into major productions and OTT streaming. The new platform will serve as a cornerstone of Fabrika’s investment strategy, enabling the company to manage its growing content library more efficiently.

New System Aids Commercial Production Growth

As Fabrika shifts its business model towards commercial production and long-form television, it recognized the need for an advanced asset management solution. The company also plans to launch its own OTT streaming channel in September 2022, starting with an education-focused platform called Cientik.

Collaboration with CIS Group

Fabrika partnered with systems integration firm CIS Group and selected EditShare's FLOW system after a thorough evaluation. According to José Luiz Nogueira, Partner and Founder of Fabrika, “We needed a new asset management platform that offered more agility and seamless cloud integration.”

Nogueira highlighted the successful deployments of EditShare systems globally as a key factor in their decision-making process. CIS Group, which has worked with both Fabrika and EditShare for many years, played a crucial role in defining Fabrika’s requirements and guiding the purchase decision.

Key Features of FLOW

The new installation at Fabrika is built on EditShare's EFS300 storage nodes, with FLOW software tailored to post-production workflows. The system supports cataloging, browsing, collaboration, editing, and archiving through a single user interface.

“What we have delivered to Fabrika is a compact and cost-effective solution that streamlines their entire post-production process,” said Said Bacho, Chief Revenue Officer at EditShare. “It provides the complete ecosystem for users to edit from anywhere.”

Benefits for Fabrika

Ricardo Freitas, Service Account Manager at CIS Group, emphasized that the solution would enable Fabrika’s producers and editors to create more content quickly. “With these workflows, Fabrika can achieve operational efficiencies by reducing overall time-to-delivery,” he stated.
