Blackmagic Design has unveiled the Blackmagic 2110 IP Converter 3x3G, a new rack mount device designed to convert 3G-SDI signals to 2110 IP standards. This converter supports up to three separate 3G-SDI channels simultaneously, with independent inputs and outputs for connecting six different SDI devices.

Features of the New Converter

The device features a color LCD on its front panel for monitoring, menus, and diagnostics. Available in June at $595 from authorized resellers worldwide, it is designed to integrate any 3G-SDI equipment into 2110 IP broadcast systems.

Integration and Flexibility

The converter's rack mount design allows for easy installation alongside existing equipment. It supports the SMPTE ST2110 standard, facilitating transport, synchronization, and description of video, audio, and ancillary data over managed IP networks. The unit also includes loop outputs to integrate IP video into existing SDI systems.

Advanced Networking Capabilities

The Blackmagic 2110 IP Converter supports NMOS interface specifications, enabling seamless operation with other 2110 IP video devices as part of a large virtual router. It also offers remote administration via the Blackmagic Converter Utility, which is available for both Mac and Windows.
