Platform Innovation Acknowledged
The Future Best of Show Award from TV Tech and the Product of the Year accolade for BitFire Spark™ Production Environments highlight the platform's innovation and impact on live production workflows. The BitFire Platform is a comprehensive suite of cloud-based tools designed to streamline broadcast-grade productions, offering features like scalable switching, audio mixing, replay, multiviewing, and secure remote access.
Jim Akimchuk, president and CEO at BitFire, praised the platform's ability to eliminate traditional production barriers. “The BitFire Platform and its Spark Production Environments receiving these awards is a testament to our team’s efforts in reimagining live production in the cloud,” he said.
MLB Opening Day Achievement
In collaboration with MLB Network, BitFire executed a large-scale remote production for MLB's Opening Day broadcast from Seoul. The project utilized more than 28 synchronized transmission paths to serve multiple networks simultaneously, reducing on-site personnel while maintaining high-quality broadcasts.
The deployment relied on BitFire’s ultra-low-latency IP transport, cloud multiviewers, and real-time diagnostics to ensure seamless collaboration across continents. Prebuilt and tested transmission kits were used, with BitFire engineers on site for integration and last-minute adjustments.
Akimchuk emphasized the trust placed in BitFire by leading networks like MLB. “These awards underscore not only our technological strength but also the real-world success of our customers using BitFire to deliver critical live events,” he stated.
