Fiber Platform Proves Reliable for SCO Summit
Barnfind Technologies' fiber platform was the backbone of the sophisticated signal transport solution used during the 18th Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Qingdao, China. The event brought together leaders from six countries to discuss political, economic, and security issues.
The fiber platform was configured and operated by DIGIRED, Barnfind's master distributor in China, to link various locations including CCTV television studios, Xinhua News Agency, Qingdao Television Studio, International Conference Center, airport OB vans, and journalists' global information desks. The system consisted of 108 fiber optic links installed in the Master Control Room (MCR), with 96 used for communications.
BarnOne Fiber Matrix at the Heart of Transmission Solution
The BarnOne fiber matrix, a flexible and affordable infrastructure platform, formed the heart of the transmission solution. The company's BarnMini-01 standalone bidirectional conversion modules served as optical machines to form star-pattern links. The BarnStudio control software was used to schedule signals and monitor the system, eliminating the need for manual routing.
The system operated over a three-month period, performing 24/7 during the preparation and event itself.
