Bannister Lake Releases Financial and Sports Data on Community
CAMBRIDGE, ON - 05-30 2017 - Bannister Lake announced new data feeds to Community, their public data platform.
Bannister Lake’s free Community service is designed to be a platform for creation and distribution of data, both local and global. It can be a valuable means of publishing local data for sports scores, school closings and news. Community remains a free cloud service for data publishers to make their data available to not just Chameleon and Super Ticker users but to all who wish to utilize the data using its RESTful api BLADE.
To expand on localized data provided by the Community user base, Bannister Lake continues to add free and useful data through Community. The most recent additions are major league sports scores and financial quotes. All the major leagues are supported including MLB, NHL, NBA, MLS and NFL. On the financial side, we offer quotes for stocks, indexes, currencies and commodities. Although Chameleon and Super Ticker offer a tightly integrated way to subscribe to Community feeds, all of the data is just a url away for anyone who wants to use it.
Bannister Lake will continue to expand on their Community data portfolio. Our goal is to make Community the de facto data engine for publishers and consumers of data.
Community tightly integrates with Bannister Lake’s Chameleon platform which supports NDI and Ross Xpression systems plus Bannister Lake’s own web rendering engine. It services ticker and network branding based clients who are data driven, providing news, sports, events and finance feeds. The additional data enhances a more focused production for sports shows as well as a targeted feed source for companies who want to run different feed themes (Eastern Conference or American League etc.) during specific shows in their respective line-ups.
