After last year’s debut of MAGIC Collaboration Services at IBC, AVT from Germany extend their software solution with scalable studio connectivity solutions.

With the current release of the MAGIC Server, the MAGIC telephone hybrids and audio codecs become available as a centralized, scalable software solution. The integration supports all functionalities of the hardware system and integrates MAGIC Collaboration Services for MS Teams and WebRTC connectivity which were introduced at IBC 2022.

“We wanted to give customers the option to choose freely between traditional hardware systems and scalable software solutions without compromising quality or functionality. The new software-based approach is freely scalable and can be used for small scale applications as well as complex, large scale installations at public or commercial broadcasters. If a customer has hardware systems on premise already, they can also be integrated into the pool of available lines.” says Lukas Mahler, Jr. Marketing & Sales Manager at AVT.

Aside from the MAGIC Server Software, just a regular server or VM is required, making it a practical solution for making use of existing hardware.
