Aurora Multimedia, a leading innovator in IP control systems and HD video distribution solutions, has formed a strategic partnership with West Penn Wire, a cable leader. The agreement leverages Aurora's IPBaseT technology across West Penn's fiber-optic and category 6A/UTP products, providing the reliability and bandwidth needed for demanding A/V installations.

IPBaseT Technology: Uncompressed Video and Zero-Latency Switching

Aurora's IPBaseT combines 4K uncompressed video with zero-latency seamless switching, videowall and multiviewer modes, digital audio, USB 2.0, Ethernet, and control. This technology supports a large, seamless UHD video and audio matrix, replacing multiple technologies and products with a single-box distributed platform.

Cabling Solutions: Fiber-Optic and Category 6A Products

West Penn Wire's full line of fiber-optic cables features IPBaseT technology. The long plug-and-play assemblies are equipped with two 50/125¼m OM3 fiber-optic connectors and a pulling eye for easy installations. West Penn's Category 6A F/UTP products, offered in both non-plenum and plenum constructions, feature 4pr. 23AWG twisted pairs with an overall 100-percent heavy foil shield.

Partnership Goals: Simplify A/V Installations

Aurora's IPBaseT technology aims to simplify A/V installations by providing fast, reliable, high-quality delivery for streaming, media, or any other data-driven application. The partnership with West Penn Wire is expected to further streamline the process.
