Audio Design Desk (ADD) will show the public beta release of ADD Audio Bridge, a new audio extension for Final Cut Pro that puts sound design tools directly in the FCP timeline.

ADD, based in West Hollywood, CA, is a new generation of digital audio workstation that uses artificial intelligence-assisted content creation tools to enable filmmakers, editors, sound designers, streamers and creators to produce cinema-quality sound for video in seconds.

Launched in May, 2020, due to the pandemic this is the first NAB where ADD can demonstrate its technology to attendees in person.

Audio Design Desk is a sound design platform that can be used standalone or as a integration with NLEs like Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere. It simplifies the process of adding music and sound effects to picture, cutting down what can typically be a full day project to just a few minutes.

Lectrosonics β€” Our Story (Film)

ADD is actually a DAW merged with more than 40,000 royalty free sounds embedded with an artificial intelligence technology called Sonic Intelligence. Used on programs for Netflix, HBOMax, Hulu and others, the platform understands the relationships between sounds. Producing and editing music, foley or sound design is claimed to be ten times faster than conventional sound design software.

The user imports a video file into the app, and presses keys on their keyboard β€” β€œH” for hits, β€œR” for rises, β€œD” for drones, and so on β€” using the computer keyboard to play the sound app like a musical instrument.

At NAB, the company will debut the latest beta of Audio Bridge for Final Cut Pro. Using the new app, video editors will for the first time be able to create soundscapes for their projects from inside Final Cut Pro.
