Letchworth, Hertfordshire, UK, January 15, 2013: ATG Broadcast has signed a channel partnership agreement with Vidcheck, a leading provider of software for automated quality control and correction of video and audio in file-based media.
"This continues our strategy of offering advanced products to the broadcast and post-production market," comments ATG Broadcast Product Sales Manager Chris Elson. "Vidcheck delivers very powerful media-file analysis solutions which closely complement AmberFin's iCR products as the best solution to meet the requirements of the Digital Production Partnership's file-based programme delivery standard. We are also promoting the products combined or separately in the Middle East."
Vidcheck produces a software-only automated quality control package which measures the parameters and settings when preparing and exchanging file-based content. It automatically processes multiple files simultaneously and quickly. 'Check-and-correct' functionality can analyse video and audio file parameters and then automatically correct parameters such as out-of-specification luma, chroma and RGB gamut.
Vidcheck software incorporates audio loudness checking based on ITU-R 1770 (to ATSC and EBU recommendations) and can automatically correct audio peak levels and loudness levels. It also includes testing for photo-sensitive epilepsy in accordance with the Ofcom specification, a mandatory check in the UK and Japan.
The Vidcheck range can be used stand-alone or integrated with media servers and automation systems in broadcast workflows.
