TV Azteca, the Mexican multimedia conglomerate owned by Grupo Salinas, has achieved a significant milestone in its broadcasting efforts. The company recently broadcast a live football match between the Mexican national team and Paraguay on May 28, in Ultra High Definition (UHD) to a global audience.
Technical Details
The UHD signal was encoded at 20 Mbps, in HEVC Main10 profile and in real-time using ATEME's TITAN solution. The broadcast took place via satellite and terrestrial network, with the match being played in Atlanta, USA.
