Ateliere will debut a new Time Addressable Media Store (TAMS) replay capability at the 2025 NAB Show. The technology allows for real-time ingestion of content from multiple cameras into a TAMS-compliant media store, facilitating swift access to contextual replays tailored to audience needs.

New Technology Streamlines Live Production

TAMS, an open framework developed by BBC Research & Development, integrates object storage, segmented media, and time-based indexing through a simple HTTP API. This integration enables multiple tools and algorithms to work seamlessly on the same content, regardless of vendor.

Ateliere Live, a cloud-native live production platform, uniquely supports TAMS by efficiently feeding the media store with time-addressable content. This approach ensures that operators can initiate replays by selecting specific cameras and previewing replay windows, which are then seamlessly integrated into live program output.

Applications in Live Sports Production

One of the most promising applications for TAMS is in live sports production. The technology captures every detail from multiple angles in real-time, allowing technical directors or vision mixers to access specific replays quickly and contextually. This capability enhances audience engagement by providing immediate and relevant content.

Ateliere's Integrated Workflow

In addition to TAMS, Ateliere will showcase its integrated workflow combining Ateliere Live and Ateliere Connect at the NAB Show. These solutions ensure that content flows smoothly across production, postproduction, and distribution stages, enriched with critical contextual metadata.

The demonstrations of these technologies will be available at booth W1267 in Las Vegas from April 6-9, 2025. Attendees can also book private meetings to discuss specific workflow needs and how Ateliere solutions can address them.
