Partnership Brings Unique Aerial Views to Broadcasters
ArrowData, an aerial data services company specializing in electronic newsgathering (AeroJournalism), has partnered with TVU Networks, a global leader in IP-based live mobile newsgathering solutions. The collaboration enables broadcasters to transmit high-definition video from ArrowData's drones using TVU's portable cellular transmitters.
The partnership combines ArrowData's expertise in drone piloting and TVU's award-winning mobile cellular IP technology to deliver unique aerial views for news coverage. This marks a significant development in the industry, as broadcasters can now capture dynamic shots from drones and transmit them live with sub-second latency.
FAA Exemption Paves the Way
ArrowData has received a special waiver from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to operate drones for electronic newsgathering, making it the first private company to receive such an exemption. This allows ArrowData to fly its drones for news gathering purposes, providing broadcasters with a new tool for capturing unique footage.
