IBC2018: Argosy Unveils Expanding Range of Innovative Solutions
Argosy, a leading international supplier of broadcast and AV cables and infrastructure products, has showcased its growing portfolio of innovative solutions at IBC2018. The event marked the company's first major exhibition since it completed an MBO from its former parent company in July 2018.
The demonstration highlighted the ability of Argosy to provide a complete service to the AV and broadcast engineer, offering a range of products that cater to their needs for set-and-forget solutions. According to CEO Chris Smeeton, the recent MBO has given the company further agility to respond quickly to customer demands.
KVM Solutions Take Center Stage
One of the key highlights at Argosy's booth was its showcase of advanced control solutions from Austrian manufacturer kvm-tec. The demonstration featured the ability to handle 4k video, showcasing the power and flexibility of KVM – keyboard, video, and mouse – solutions.
KVM solutions allow installers to put workstations where they are needed while keeping the computers themselves in a machine room. By connecting multiple KVM systems over a standard IP network, users can quickly switch between services, eliminating downtime caused by the need to move content from machine to machine.
