EditShare has extended its media storage capabilities to support REDUCTO, a prominent broadcast production company based in Uruguay. This expansion leverages Antel’s high-speed internet connectivity and Tier III data center infrastructure to provide robust remote and collaborative post-production facilities.
Storage System Integration
The EditShare system integrated at Antel includes EFS 450 and EFS SSD solid-state storage appliances, offering a total capacity of 300 TB. The connection between the data center and REDUCTO utilizes two redundant, geographically diverse 10 gigabit fiber links, ensuring reliable performance.
Workflow Management
In addition to storage solutions, EditShare FLOW automation and media management tools are integrated to track content, maintain secure redundancy, and support creative workflows. This setup allows REDUCTO users to work with various edit stations and tools without disrupting overall operations.
Latin American Market Impact
The partnership between Antel and EditShare enhances REDUCTO’s ability to serve the entire Latin American market from its Montevideo headquarters. The system supports resolutions up to 8K, catering to both broadcast and movie industry needs.
Gustavo Andrés Arbiza Mattos, Telecommunications Engineer at Antel, stated, “Latin America is experiencing significant growth in video production, and our collaboration with EditShare enables producers to access high-quality facilities from anywhere on the continent.”
Remote Production Benefits
Producers can now view project progress remotely without traveling to Uruguay. EditShare FLOW’s security features also support simultaneous hosting for multiple clients, paving the way for Antel to offer similar services to other media companies in the future.
Mateo Musitelli, Project Manager RC&C at REDUCTO, added, “EditShare provides secure and flexible tools for remote production, ensuring that content is always available and protected. This partnership is crucial for our expansion plans.”
