Adobe is revealing deep releases across their family of products in Creative Cloud that revamp the historical serial workflow and allow new ideas to be inserted throughout the creative process. These updates will be shown at NAB Show 2015. Focusing on three main themes, with Premier Pro as the anchor point, Adobe is releasing new technology to create more dynamic and creative workflows. Theme 1 allows content to be created more efficiently with high performance and includes the ability to work with touch.  These improvements include:

• A new color workspace for Premiere Pro that includes the Lumetri Color panel
• Performance and preview improvements in Premiere Pro and After Effects
• Touch optimized apps for use on 2 in 1 devices like Surface Pro
• Exciting new applications including Magic, a character animator; Time Tuner (Premiere Pro and Adobe Media Ender); Morph Cut in Premiere Pro and Face Tracker in After Effects

Theme 2 focuses on ensuring desktop apps have everything you need:

• CC Libraries have been added to After Effects, Premiere Pro and Premier Clip (as well as PhotoShop, Illustrator and more)
• CC Libraries are faster, support more asset types and offer better organization
• Mobile apps and desktop apps are seamlessly integrated

Theme 3 allows you to capture creative inspiration on an iOS app, (“Candy”) and create assets that are available throughout your workflow.  Adobe Premiere Clip and Premier Pro CC now have improved workflows. These three themes combine to provide tools that allow teams to deliver high quality products within time and budget constraints.  Assets follow the editor from app to app and the lines between mobile and desktop are blurred. “Candy” is an iOS app that allows capture of Looks to use in later applications.  A photo or video is analyzed for color effects and can be adjusted and saved for application to other videos. Morph Cut is used to smooth jump cuts from edited talking head shots.  Using a combination of face tracking, optical flow technology and intelligent frame insertion, previously jumpy video can be turned into a smooth presentation with imperceptible edits. Time Tuner solves a common broadcasting issue when a video has to fit into a specified period of time.  Perhaps a program is too long for the slot, or editors want to intentionally reduce the time of a video in order to insert advertising.  Using new technology, Time Tuner can reduce the size of a video up to 10%.  Time Tuner analyzes the video and uses intelligent frame removal to make the video fit the specified length. Time Tuner is available in Premier Pro CC and Adobe Media Encoder CC. Face Tracker analyzes and identifies points on a face and creates a mask of the detailed points.  This allows an editor to attach objects or effects to a face.  The points identified can be extracted to determine measurements to calculate details such as orientation of the face, or how open or closed the mouth is at various times in the video.  This data can then be copied into another application, such as Adobe Character Animator. Adobe Character Animator captures movements from a webcam and transfers them to an animated character.  Behaviors can be incorporated into a character that are controlled by body movements, mouse movements or keystrokes. Characters can be created in PhotoShop layers and behaviors can be attached to the appropriate layers. Other enhancements in the Creative Cloud offering include:

• Uninterrupted Preview in After Effects CC
• Voice Over capability in Adobe Prelude
• Support via Direct Link for Lumetri Color panel in SpeedGrade CC
• Dolby Digital Support in Adobe Media Encoder CC
• Dynamic Link Video and live re-linking in Adobe Audition CC

Adobe Anywhere will now have an additional configuration available as an add-on to Creative Cloud for team.  This configuration will allow Anywhere to reside on a single on-premise server and expands access to a much broader range of customers.  This configuration is provided based on a growing demand from smaller workgroups that needed a more cost-effective, easy to install solution.
