Final Cut Pro users now have access to Alteon.io’s new workflow extension, allowing them to integrate cloud-based media management seamlessly into their post-production process. Available on the Mac App Store, the extension enables creators to download, sync, comment on, and upload media directly within Final Cut Pro.
Enhanced Cloud Integration
The Alteon.io extension integrates with the company’s secure cloud storage platform, letting users view and download media files stored in the cloud without leaving Final Cut Pro. Users can also drag and drop libraries, events, or individual clips into the Alteon panel to upload and sync data while maintaining folder structure.
Collaboration and Efficiency
Alteon.io’s comprehensive content management system supports large file uploads, including professional RAW formats, and automatically generates proxy files. Project owners can request uploads from collaborators, set permissions, and share files with external parties for review. Time-stamped comments help streamline the collaborative process.
Future Developments
Alteon.io plans to continue enhancing its workflow extension for Final Cut Pro, adding deeper integrations and more options for streaming, rendering, and syncing keywords and comments. Co-founder Matt Cimaglia is touring the United States with FCP Global Summit, demonstrating how Alteon’s tools can optimize the creative process.
